460 head gaskets

460 head gaskets
hi, i am having a problem. im changing the head gaskets in my 88 460 and the kit that napa gave me has two of the exact same head gaskets in it. im not sure if the metal side is supposed to go up or down. (see pic) if i put both gaskets frontwards like is stamped on it, one has the metal up and one has it down. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure that the metal goes away from the block.

thats the problem, they dont say top. i did my 83 and 84 stangs motors and they both said top, but these only say front and the part number. if anyone else has any experience in these, i would love some input. thanks everyone.

they can go either direction in relationship to the upside down or not but the part that is important is that they front is to the front on these engines. it has to do with the cooling system and the holes in the gasket so what will happen is one will look or be upside down to the other but they will both work just fine.
