460 bellhousing
Hi all havent posted since 2003. been without internet service. anyhow i did my solid axel swap back in 04' to my 84' f150. its great its tough as nails and tracks good. anyway i finally blew up my old 4.9 six and went to the junk yard and found a 85' f350 got the bellhousing,trans and steel mounting brackets for the 460. when i got the bell housing off i noticed the area around the ball stud where the clutch fork goes was cracked all to crap.
i drillled the holes out and welded the housing. is this a common problem or is this a fluke. does anyone make a cast iron reoplacement for the hyudraulic clutch or is everyone stuck with aluminum. thanks eric
