do a search on lowering or I-beams, I just seen a post within the past few days about a guy in California that bends the beams and heat treats them after dropping 3".
Option 2 is purchase an aftermarket set, this will cost about the same as what the guy above was charging.
I will see if I can find the post and send it to you.
I was going to do it myself , but I'm not sure if it's a good idea . I wanted to know if anyone who has done it has any suggestions . I have built tube chassis , but never modified twin beams . I thought about fabbing a IFS for the old Effy , but it's not a show truck .
I installed an IFS kit in mine and will not be for show only, I am intending to drive it also as often as I can. I have a friend that converted his to IFS and drove it daily.
I also looked for the post with the I beams, dont remember for sure which one it is, I will keep looking.
I have built custom I beams for long travel offroad trucks. As long as you build a good jig it is no big deal. I will be building some drop beams for mine in the future.
