I was going to cut off the horns in my intake today (1989 f250 460) and I discovered the previous owner had installed a couple of Tornado air devices I pulled them out and left the horns in for now to see if that makes a difference. The Torndado air devices have a web site www.tornadoair.com it appears to be snake oil and if anything seems like it would have obstructed the air intakes. Any feed back on these?
They don't do anything for you besides waste your money. If your looking for one, check around in the dumpster, that's where you'll find them, they are garbage!
I was able to try one for free for a few months, and noticed absolutely no difference in anything at all. It was nice and shiny though, would look pretty cool hanging from the ceiling. You could make a windchime out of it.
70 bucks for some cheap stamped tin they can bite my shiny metal rear.
I looked in to these things a lil more and they say it does improve mpg but by only a half ah mile to ah Mile they must be crazy.
They are junk and the company stinks bad, pure and simple.
I had a 1995 Chevy Silverado (forgive me for I have sinned...I have a 2007 PSD now...) and bought one of those junks in about 1996. They had a claim that if you did not see any benefit within 30 days to return it for money back.
I tried it for 30 days, although calendar wise it was about 60. I am in the military and was in the field for 30 of those days so the truck sat and I wanted to give it a fair chance. It did nothing. I called the company and explained why I had it for 60ish days and not 30 and wanted my money back. The guy was a complete jerk. He was the owner. He told me 30 days was 30 days - period.
Only offered to swap it for one for my other vehicle.
I put it in the trash and did not look back. Figured Karma would get him and I would call him Earl.
Thing that irritates me was the company has a lot of Christian verses and chapters they use and this was definately NOT a Christian attitude. Regardless of your beliefs.....heck, they claim the Christianity part. (not a church/no church push - just feeds the experience I am trying to relay).
