Odometer light out.....CORRECT mileage????
I am looking at buying a 01 f150 4x4 from a dealership with a 30 day drivetrian warranty only.
The odometer digital meter goes on and off every once and a while. Does the mileage still get recorded and will it be accurate, or will I be buying a truck with higher mileage than shown???
How much work is involved fixing this?

The computer still records the milage, even when the display is out. The problem is the connections to the display and that has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not the milage is still being recorded.
