Well since William is jumping my case I will post up pics of my new to me snow plow! It's huge!!
My dad sold his pickup and gave me his snow plow. Its a couple years old but a very nice plow! Its a Blizzard 810 Power Plow. My dad sells these plow (well used to, this is the last year).
This model is an 8' straight blade with 1 foot wings on each end that extend out to make it a 10' straight blade then also scoop forward to make a 9'2" scoop. I have plowed with Boss plows (second job, different trucks) for the last 3 years and this plow moves a lot more snow!
The plow itself weighs 900 lbs and the hitch weighs 100 lbs.
here are some pics. More in my Webshots

Also a few weeks ago I siped my tires! if anybody doesn't like how their tires perform in the snow this is for you. Many tire shops will do this for $10 a tire. After doing it myself I would have someone else do it! siping is jsut cutting the tire tread to give it more "teeth"
Yes since I have a solid front (f-350) axle. your truck would be different with a plow and add a leaf. I would not recommend a plow this heavy for the 250.
I am a dummy sorry F350, yeh my truck used to haul around a plow (prev. owner) it has air bags they worked very well to keep the tires true the plow wasn,t that BIG wow
We have a boss plow pn one of my trucks, It does the reverse V to trap the snow, how do the wings hold up compared to the split boss? Looks nice. I have seen some blizzards that have the center cutout for visability, so it looks like they are designed well. Anywho, dont break nothing, dont hit nothing....LOL

The straight blade (no wings) blizzards are the same height in the center but actually a bit higher than this one on the ends. Supposedly the same guy that designed the Blizzard designed the Boss as well. Push 4 inches around tonight in the parking lot! Pushes like a dream!! Gotta get the topper off though! can't see a think!
