Hey guys I just bought this truck about 2 weeks ago. The guy told me it had some sensors out so like a dumb butt I start playing with the superchip why i have no idea i guess i wanted to see how fast I could make it nd how good the fuel milage was. Well by uping the HP on it I guess I finshed off the sensors so now the truck is throughing off a few codes .....P0238,0603,0478,0470 it was showing a IAT sensor so I bought a new one now it is showing this other and my Miles per gallon dropped to about 11 with the programer so I took it off and its getting about 17 or 18. Any help would be much appreciated

P0238=Turbo boost sensor A circuit High Input
P0603=PCM Processor Fault
P0478=Exhaust Pressure Control Valve circuit High Input
P0470=Exhaust Pressure sensor circuit Malfunction
I have no mods done to the truck other then the superchip and I had to take it off b/c it killed the milage.............any one know where I get the sensors that I need at the best price
What sensors do you think you need? You can clean your EBPV and tube and carry a spare CPS, but other than that, I think you're ok. The last two numbers can come from a chip and can also mean the EBPV sensor is dirty or bad, or the sensor tube needs to be cleaned. Look here on the instructions on how that is done. https://www.ford-trucks.com/lc/lc.ph...om%2Febps.html
Seeing how fast you can make it go doesn't belong in the same sentence with MPG concerns. The magic number with these trucks seems to be 2000 rpm's. Too much time above that hurts your MPG numbers. A chip or programmer helps your performance but commonly throws codes because the truck is performing out of stock settings.
Like Barry said. I'm not sure there's much you need to do if you like the Superchip except go easy on the throttle for better MPG's.
well for one thing when its below about 49 degrees the truck makes the suckign noise but when its over 49 it does not so thats why i changed the Intake air temp sensor but yesterday the temp got low and it started making that noise.....I have had the truck about 2 weeks or so when i first got it she was geting 15+ mpg around town then I changed the chip to the 80 hp and ti fell down to about 11mpg adn it was throwing all these sensor codes and now when you get on it the check eng light comes on for about 3 minutes then it will go back off so Im really lost
Do you have guages in your truck? Throwing a CEL when you get on it sounds like an oveboost issue related to your superchip. A set of guages will tell you for sure.
The sounds it makes is only when its below 49 degrees it can be idol and it will do it or be riding down the rd at 2000 rpm it will lose 100 rpm then come right back then lose again and it will do this till the temp outside warms up
