consuming alternators

Why is my truck eating alternators. I've replaced my alternator 3 times in the last 2 years. Does any one have any experience with this?

Usually this problem can be traced back to a cheap brand of parts. There are certian brands out there that have caused me nothing but come backs. I learned. I will never use them again.
