Hey Guys! Im thinking of buying a TBS, for my 92, F250, with a 5.8L. Are they worth the expense. I use the truck for towing my 5th wheel trailer. Need a little more Power. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Only thing it is is an overly expensive paperweight....try advancing your timing to give er a lil more oomph....also a good gauze element air filter will help her breathe alot....and the bottleneck of the exhaust on these trucks IS the exhaust....open that up a bit....if you don't want it loud a turbo muffler opens it up and is fairly quiet....There's other mods you can spend your money on.......
Luck
5.8 should be able to pull that fifth wheel pretty decently.....unless it's a big honkin mother........Sorry I couldn't help ya......Might try an underdrive pulley set...if they make one for a 5.8......Later
92 have a smog pump? if so, check the exhaust ports for lumps and grind them out. And YES, a spacer is the biggest waste of money you can find, unless you count a 5" monster tach on a civic...
