CCV mod suprise
Decided to do the CCV mod and found the inlet air hose that attaches to the turbo busted at the bottom, it is the 4in X 3in hose the IH part# is 1831358C1 and the ford part # is F81Z-9C681-AA. I called the local IH dealer parts dept and was told the price was under $10 and would have to be ordered, got a call back a few minutes later that it was a restricted part and would have to be ordered from Ford Dealer parts dept, called the local Ford parts dept and the price was $72.22 talked them down to 47.82. Just wanted to share the price difference between from IH to Ford.

Yes Barry I did check and the turbo looked good and clean and could feel no slack, nicks or anything.
I am a new member of the forum and read about the different mods, I did the ZooDad, the DP tuner 60 tow, 80 econ then the CCV and found the busted hose. A big THANKS to the FTE Forum!!
I forgot to post my Truck is a 01 F-250 XLT 2WD KC 7.3 with 127,000 that I bought a month ago.

i just went down to get the EBPS tube from IH..guy said he never see this before..but it said it was a restricted part as well..had to go to the dealer and spend 55 bucks...i have a spare air in take tube..sounds like i beter hold on to it..

Glad no damage was done to the wheel. And if it was overlooked before, Welcome to FTE. That restricted part stuff is CRAP. Get in touch with directfordparts.com and see if they can help with these cost. They are a site sponsor and super nice to deal with. I know they have saved me a bunch of $$$.

If you still have the part in good enough condition to return it, i have a stock tube i took off when i upgraded my turbo, you're welcome to it. It will save you $47 and some fuel money!
