too hot- or not?
what temps do most of yall's trucks run? mine hit 900 post turbo one time, running several miles on the floor at 100+ mph. i was bouncing off the rev limiter. it was then holding 25 psi boost. whats the most you all let it go to towing, and with this 900* in mind, what do you think i'll hit towing a big hill with 20,000#? IH dealer mechanic said not to let it get over 1150-1200. think it will even hit that on moderate hills? ford mechanic said 1400* pre turbo. they both said never let one boost over 35# or you'll blow heads off. mine wouldnt do that at this point in the game anyway.

with 1400 pre turbo then thats 1100 post turbo by rule of thumb. You will see that towing! As for boost. without head studs 40 psi is the rule but by then your stock will have suffered and died in a short time anyway.
