Any body that has installed the air lift air bags - How hard a job is this . Lookin to raise the back end for towing and was looking at the super duty (good name) air bags. Do these actually raise rear of truck or just make for a stouter ride?
I added a set on my work truck, and they are awesome. I use them all the time, because i am usually loaded. There are occasions when im pulling a trailer with 4-5K of tongue weight, not recommended, but these bags at 110psi will level the truck right out. You can see the bed rail flex down near the rearmost part, but it makes the truck level and handle ALOT better. I installed the Firestone Riderites, a 5 gallon tank and compressor in the toolbox. Neat little setup, with an in-cab adjustment left to right, with a dual-needle gauge. About $750 or so with the bags and control kit.
I have airbags on my 99 and it makes a world of difference in towing and hauling. For the time being I have the air valve running out the back.
I have the compressor but haven't had the time to mount it yet. Anyone have a suggestion for location? I've ruled out the bed and no room under the hood

If its a crew cab, then behind the back seat on the pax side is a great place, and the seat deadens the sound from the compressor running. right under the carpet is a rubber knock out plug that you can cut a hole in to run your air line.
