Hi all, I'm making progress with my '78 inline 6-300, it's running better, but I hope someone can help me with the vacuum line to the distributor advance. The Chilton's manual says that it connects to the "S" or spark vacuum port on the Carter single barrel, but I'm not sure which one that is. There is one on the right side near the base of the carburator that looks like a likely prospect. It is just above the EGR valve. Is this the one? That's where I have it connected right now, but I'm not sure I have as much torque on the bottom end as I should.
Also I have the type of PVC valve with the vacuum assist line on top of it and I have had to leave it un-connected because the motor just won't idle at all with it connected to a vacuum port. Where does this one get connected?
