Need help 1995 5.8L

ok so i have a 1995 f-150 with a 5.8 with 80k org miles on it. the truck dies with driving it like the alt goes out so ive replace it 2 times already and it still happens the mph gauge is now stuck on 90mph and i watch the guage on the batteries and it just goes down i think its something to do with the computers in the truck but i dont now what and i don want to spend money on something thats not it. so here is what i have done already in the past week a rebuilt alt. new batteries and a new coil anything else i should change or look at or anyone else know whats wrong with it.

Well it started to sound like the TFI/PIP is going out on you. Then you started saying the alt gauge and it goes down like it is loosing power.Well the PCM will shut the vehical down if voltage does go below 9 volts. Are you sure the rebuilt alt is working properly?I have seen alot of rebuilt alt, including Ford, that are built or not tested before releasing to customer. Now I am guessing that the vehical does not die overnite so I suspect that there is no additional load that is causing a problem. I say get the alt checked just to make sure it is working properly. You can also run the truck with all the lights and accesories on and put a volt meter on the pos and neg post.At idle you should see 14.2V. Run it at 2000 RPM and get someone to watch the volt meter and see if you start losing voltage. Other than that you will be going to a shop for a AVR test and pulling codes.

i have not tested it but its my second one so i dont think i would get too bad ones but then again you never know. the first alt i got it ran great the volts were right where they needed to be and was fine and i only went about 30-40 miles on it and then i just watched the gauge going down, nothing was changed everything is stock on the truck but the suspension. what about the EEC or the TFI module ? what do you think?
