Bug shields...for the hood
My new F450 is being built Jan. 11, getting all my after market pieces together so I can hit the road South to Daytona. This will be my fifth dually. I have tried bug shields and didn't like them. They made my wipers lift and shake. Thinking of clear tape this time, like a wrap they use on race cars. Any opinions out there?

Funny you should inquire about this. I got one Yesterday for Christmas. My son in law and I put it on in about 20 minutes. It came from the dealership and even has superduty on the shield it self. I came to work this moring in a wicked down pour at 60 miles an hour. Wipers stayed against the glass like they were glued.

I bought mine threw the dealership, because I figured the aftermarkets wouldn't have one yet. I have no problems with wipers on my truck lifting of the windshield. I love bug shields and I think looks great.

Just a thought, but if you are having problems with the wipers lifting off the glass, try getting a pair of Bosch Icon wipers. They are a bit pricey, but they have a spring steel backing that actually puts a bit of curvature in the the blade. I have had a couple pairs on all my SD's, and they work excellent, they really hug the windshield. They even work well in the snow and ice up here in central NY.

Yeah, I need one for my 250....but what color?
My King Ranch is green over tan....the smoked would look funny. I've seen the one with the flag on it and I really like it....but it just doesn't work with the green color. Guess I need to look at a clear one.
What do you guys think?
