How do you get it off ?
I want to change the clear lens that covers my guages on the dash but can't find out how to remove the black plastic piece that hold the headlight and panel light switches. I got the headlight switch **** off but that is as far as I can get. I know theres has to be a trick to removing this anybody know ? Its a 97 F150. Thanks for any help.

I replaced my Tach over a year ago and I remember having to turn the light switch to the on position, which allowed the **** to then be pulled out one click. I also recall a slot on the bottom of the **** that I inserted a scribe into. I think removing the **** allows access to the light switch assembly retainers, the whole assy has to be removed and unplugged.

How do you get it off ?
If I remember correctly, after you take the **** off, put it back on 180 degrees away from were it was and turn it. This will release the retainers in either end and the whole black piece comes right out.
