I'm wondering if these are interchangeable. I think the journals are the same sizes etc. but maybe there's a difference with the snout.
My interest is because I'm clearing out some junk and have a lone 351M crankshaft to maybe scrap, as I am only interested in 351W motors.
I sometime ago came up with the notion that a 351M motor was basically a 400 with a 351W crankshaft substituted (along with different pistons and rods).
With all the stroker cranks available today, you're better off selling it for scrap. Or use it for "yard art" maybe. Ought to make a dandy mail box stand. or bird bath stand.
I think the yard art idea is a good one. Surprisingly, cast iron has no more value here than steel, in years past it was worth a premium. I suppose that once the scrap gets to China they can pick through it all and take out the crankshafts to cast new stroker cranks.
