Differences between 351W and 351M cranks

I'm wondering if these are interchangeable. I think the journals are the same sizes etc. but maybe there's a difference with the snout.
My interest is because I'm clearing out some junk and have a lone 351M crankshaft to maybe scrap, as I am only interested in 351W motors.

I sometime ago came up with the notion that a 351M motor was basically a 400 with a 351W crankshaft substituted (along with different pistons and rods).

One has a shoulder forward of the #1 journal the other doesn't. Other than that, no difference that I know of.

same main bearings... the ones I put in my 357Clevor were 351M bearings.

Rats! It sounds like the 351M crank might be useful in Windsors...now I have to save the darn thing.

With all the stroker cranks available today, you're better off selling it for scrap. Or use it for "yard art" maybe. Ought to make a dandy mail box stand. or bird bath stand.

I think the yard art idea is a good one. Surprisingly, cast iron has no more value here than steel, in years past it was worth a premium. I suppose that once the scrap gets to China they can pick through it all and take out the crankshafts to cast new stroker cranks.
