Rear sliding window

Does anyone know if a power rear sliding window from an 2006' f350 will work in a 2000 f350?

I am pretty sure the window itself will fit, but I think you will probably have to do a lot of wiring work.

I think you would probably be better off looking for an aftermarket power rear window. I believe they will be cheaper and easier to install.

my question is, why do you want it? they dont do anything.they dont let any more air in the cab or anything else. i had one in my 77 f 250 and all it did was collect dust and grow moss in wet weather.i finally got a solid glass for it. i still have the 77, 460 with a 77 f 350 trans and transfercase. 250 set ups cant handle a 460s power.

oltrucker, because on a a crew cab or supercab you can't reach the window to open it, so with a power window you hit the switch and it opens for you, besides most of the trucks come with a slider unless you get the most striped down truck out there.

Lugnutt, like Beerstalker said check with CR Laurence, they make a power window for our trucks that runs about $400, I'm contemplating one for my truck.

I've always had rear sliders. I found that with the extended cab they never got used.

I ordered one on my 04 and I actually use it now.

Sliding rear windows are great. Aside from bringing in a nice breeze in the summer months, I use it all the time to fit longer items that wont fully fit in teh bed (like misc lumber). To each their own.

My kids go back and forth between the cab and the camper through my slider when we're out camping. I'll never own a solid rear window, too many benefits to the slider for me....

And like WheelMA1 mentioned, in the spring and fall (and some summer days), cracking open the side windows and fully opening the slider brings the air in from a different direction, just mixes things up a bit....

I had one on a late 80's model. It allowed me to break into my truck when I locked the keys in.

Actually, with them open it pulls alot more thru the vents of the a/c ducts. Try it, there is a noticable difference.

Every truck I have ever had has had a rear sliding window and I wouldn't have a truck without one. I don't always like the A/C on and on cool nights it's nice to open the back slider and leave the door windows up. Saves from the irritation of the wind constantly blowing on you going down the road too. Even my racetruck still has the rear slider on it, I can open it up to run and get some air in the cab, I wouldn't want to run with the side windows down and filling me and the cab up with mud.

I was wondering tho.......not to try to hijack the thread but it did come up.......oltrucker, What kind of transfer case and tranny are you running????

I've always had rear sliders. I wish we could still get the old manual vents down on the kick panels too.

I did the same when I had to get a drain pipe and it was too long for the bed.
