Just had a friend tell me about his son's Expedition being "entered" while parked in Memphis this week. Police commented that apparently someone has the "code" for unlocking the Ford vehicles equipped with the door pad and the remote electronic key fob----apparently, they had had more than one occurance of the same type burglary. Supposedly-----when they locked the vehicle by clicking the key fob-----they emitted a signal that was monitored by thieves. All of this is new news to me------but we did have a couple of the old analog cell phone numbers hijacked before.
How common of a problem is this??? Is there one master code that will unlock any Ford vehicle???
What is the difference in Ford's locking mechanism and GM's???
Thanks for the reply------I would urge everyone to read the article attached to the your "clip". That's really interesting.
Sorta goes back to the old saying: "ain't no horse that can't be rode----ain't no cowboy that can't be throwed"----------and somebody is always trying.
See you are from up there in Buford Pusser country-----I have been through there a few times, but its been years ago. I am from down in the Mississippi Delta. Thanks for the post.
