What kinda gas milage do u get?

I have a 1985 with a new carb and full tune up and still get 8 mpg city, 12 hgwy. Timing is advanced too. I think the cat converter must be clogged.

What kinda gas milage do u get?

My 240 with 3.70 got 9-13. That hurt driving 45 miles a day, so I bought a vehicle that gets 20. Much esier on the pocket book

What kinda gas milage do u get?

I get a whopping 16 mpg in my 1965 F100 with the original 240-6. It has 3.70:1 gears and a 3 speed transmission. It's not running all that good either. I think the head needs to be rebuilt at least. The compression is good but the valve are a bit loose. I'm in the process of rebuilding a 79 model 300-6 to replace the 240 with.
