Yup, the holes are usually plugged in most fron valance panels. Looks good though. Now, if he did his homework, he could ask for a whole booty load of money, but hey, hopefully he's more realistic (like most of us) and knows that it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
The front end has likely been in an incident, and thus the crappy repaint, and the incorrect valance. Typo on the vin, but it says '55, so the guy has fat fingers.
I hope it isn't a laundered title! If it were hit it may be made up of several other trucks. In California that could be a problem for the buyer!
I don't think it was in an accident, since it is the correct valance. It was just a crappy paint job.
About the holes being plugged, there were no holes, they were cut in if the dealer installed the grille guard rather than holes being plugged if they didn't get the guard.
Yeah, Morris, you are missing something! There's a $10 bill stuck in the seat...
I agree, the description doesn't quite match the truck, and although nice, not the pristine one in the description. Time will tell what it goes for (or doesn't...).
I wish there was a way to tell where the people bidding it up live. If they are locals who've gone to see the truck, it would go a long ways towards explaining what appears to be excessive prices.
Well, we ended up knowing that SOMEone thought it was worth $5600, as that was the highest bid, and that the owner thought it was worth more than that, as the reserve wasn't met. Hasn't gone back up yet. But I DID notice that the seller had already lowered the reserve, while the auction was running, so they seem pretty proud of it.
