Lost It! Please Help

If you pull the plastic pice with the screen on it from th FPR there is a BB under it. I lost mine! Am I going to have to buy a new FPR because of it? I heard you can't get a screen. Dose any one know what size the BB is? Can someone measure theres with a micrometer and let me know what they have so I can see if I can find a ball bearing to fit?

Thank You

I'd guess your not the original owner of the truck? The bb was not oem, it's from an easy to do mod.

Do a search for "fpr shim" mod and i believe you'll find the bb is just a regular old .188" one. Hit the hardware store and get a whole tin of them. You can also leave it out too. From what i understand don't use a galvanized bb, interacts with the diesel fuel.

Its oem. It under the plastic part the screen is a part of. If you pull the plastic part out of the FPV its under it, a check valve ball. See part 9157 in the diagram in the following link....https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...pr-screen.html.....I realy need to know what size this ball is. It could save me from having to buy a new FPR. Thanks.

scat, I discovered that the other day. One of my Death Row guys lost his screen. I had a bowl assembly on the shelf so I pulled the screen to give it to him. What do ya know something rolled out. I don't think it's a BB, it's more the size of buck shot. But it's plastic....I think. Anyway, I put it in one of my parts bin with some other fuel parts. PM me your address and I'll send it to you. If you are in a crunch for time, I can't help you. Christmas and all. But give me a few days and I'd be happy to send it.

It is a real pain in the a@@ but you can probably find it on the top of the engine. I had my screen fall down there and was able to get it back. I would think that a little ball might be easier to retrieve than a little screen.

Hand the filter housing in my garage whe I took the FPR off. I picked up the FPR and moved it about a dozen times without the screen in it forgeting about the ball being in it. Spent about an hour going through the garage looking for it but no good. It might have been in a rag that I had wraped around it. And of course the rag got tossed.

Yea, no sweet, after I posted I thought I might throw people off by calling the plastic check valve ball a BB.

Exclamation

BTW, somebody should tell everybody who is going to clean the screen, removing the FPR, that MUST be carefully with that plastic check valve ball, because, after reading about that, nobody mention it (to my knowledge), and when I did it, almost loose it.
