It's the fat tube coming off the turbo to the intercooler on the right side. The tube for dual alternator option is flattened where it goes by the battery & alternator, on the single alternator option the tube is not flattened out. I can't post pic's yet so I can't show you.
I just ordered the same one. Not a bad deal. Thanks for the instructions. It'll save me alot of time.
No problem just try to locate all the snap ins before you start pushing the harness through. It will save time knowing exactly where it needs to be routed.
It sure acts like it needs to be plugged in. It takes twice as long to start and sounds like its missing. It sounds like its running on 5 cylnders instead of 8 for at least 30 seconds.
It was +3F this morning. Took what seemed forever for the glowplug light to go off but it did start. You're right though it was rough for the first minute or so.
Unfortunately plugging in the block heater is not an option (live in an apartment complex)
Thats probably because you (I'm betting) are using 15W40 oil and probably Dino oil. Use Synthetic and your injectors will thank you on cold mornings. Remember that your injectors are oil operated. And if that oil is thick your injectors won't be dancin to the same beat till the oil gets working. I use Mobil-1 Turbo diesil oil year round.

I live in central NY and use my block heater, on a timer all the time now. When I 1st bought my '07 it did not have the cord. Last winter it got down to -15F but it still started good after 6 to 8 seconds waiting on the glow plugs. I have noticed that with the block heater on 3 to 4 hours my temperature gage hardy moves when I start it. The big difference it's only 2 to 3 seconds for the glow plug light to go out. I think it's better for the truck to plug in anything below 30F.
I'm going to try the Synthetic oil and plug it in. I live in base housing so i dont have an electric bill so to say. I'll probably only use the plug on really cold nights but it seems to be something that is needed to get the old girl running first thing in the morning. I'll definitely try the syn oil though. From what i've read in the past few days on this thread and one other that synthetic really is worth the price.
The only difference I have noticed so far is the same as Beamer 2 is that the Glow plug light goes out faster. I am lucky like o3KingRanch250, I live in base housing as well.
I'm Air Force. Stationed at Clear Air Force Base and live in North Pole.

i notice shorter glow plug times but also notice truck not ideling as rough if not plugged in and i get heat a lot faster when plugged in. i use synt. rotella. and plug in on cold nights for about 4 hours before i leave in the morn. would highly recommend pluggin in if you live somewere where it gets cold at night
