I recieved a christmas present early today! It is a Ford keyless entry system from fordaccessories.com. Obviously I'm not going to install it tonight but would like to get it done this weekend. The only problem I have with getting it done this weekend is that there were no installation instructions included. the back of the module does tell what each color wire goes to. Will these colors match up to the colors of the wires on the truck.
Has anyone intalled one of these? Is there anything I should look out for?
Well I was just looking at that website, and it said that system was for 03-07, so I don't know if it would work on my 2000, but i would still like to see you do with it
I put a Ford keless entry on my truck last year not to bad i have the book but will be sat night . send me a list of what you need . Mine had the remote start and a bunch of other stuff. help if i can .
Mine is only the keyless entry. It came with a fairly large wire harness that runs from the module. There are quit a few wires that these run to. I really only need to know what color wires on the truck that these hook up to (do they match the wire harness colors). Also where is the best place to mount the module. The only other thing that is puzzling me is the module has slots for fuses. These slots are not labeled well and in a few cases there are three slots for one fuse (by this I mean that there are three places where one of the legs of the fuse could plug in so i guess there is really two places the fuse could plug in.)
I have a pic of the color and location of all the wires in your truck can you send me an email i can send it to are tell me how you put those up . thanks phillip

All I need is an email address and I will send you an email. If you want you can send me an email. My email address is dc2842002@yahoo.com
Got them. They look like they will help. They sure won't hurt to have. I think I'm going to be too busy this weekend trying to kill duck so I think that I will have to wait till after my trip to get this installed (New Years). Hopefully I can get the full instruction book from fordaccessories.com by then.
I've started trying to figure out whaich wires go where and where the best place to tie into them is. I have a Haynes Manual that I use for my truck but it is for a 99-02 Superduty and mine is a 03. Will the wire colors in the diagrams in the book be the same for my 03.
Also the book shows significantly different diagrams for the 99-01 and for 02. I think that mine will like the 02 diagram but there is not an 02 diagram without keyless entry. It looks like basically I need to put the system I have in the position that the vehicle security module is in the book. Will my truck have a VSM even though it does not have keyless entry? if it does I think this will be the best place to tie into all of the wire I need.
Ok. Here where I'm at. I finally got the correct wiring diagrams. The only trouble I'm having figuring them out is there are two relays in the diagram. One to lock the door and one to unlock the doors. The diagram that applies to me does not say what these relays are but a diagram for another application says they are not supplied and they are ford part number YL3Z-19G390-AA. Is there a spot in the fuse pox that these relays will plug in? There are 3 open slots that the owners manual says are not used. I pulled one of the other relays from the panel (Part Number FOAB-14B192-AA). The numbers on each pin match the pin numbers in my wiring diagram. Do these two part numbers cross reference?
