Throttle return spring.....

Throttle return spring.....
Can some one please give me some ideas on how to set up my throttle return spring on an edelbrock SB manifold.... every spot I try is too close, too far away....etc....pics would be nice too

Just get a small piece of metal and drill a hole in one end big enough for one of the intake manifold bolts to go through. Drill a hole in the other end for the spring. Unbolt one of the manifold bolts and put the new spring bracket underneath the bolt and tighten it down.

well, my cable has a spring that pushes it back, but sometimes it does not go all the way back in, so I need the return spring, you know, idle low... hit throttle, idle high, back and forth..... pissing me off, i will try franklin's idea, I bought a new manifold bolt set and need to put them in anyhow.

This is what I came out with franklin... I hooked the bracket up to a valve cover bolt instead of the intake, worked out ok i think, Here is a picture on the link below, please let me know if you see any problems or improvements I can make
