Solid Axle Swap
Got an 86 with a ttb and want the durability of a solid front axle.
I would like to take the limited slip and the gears out of the ttb and put it in the new front axle. will any of the dana axles take the gears and third member from the ttb. WIll any of the axles take the MM locking hubs.
I gues I could phrase it this way, Which axles would take most of the parts from the ttb?
Secondly I've got the skyjacker lift and it has a brace that runs from the frame forward to the TTB. Can I weld me a bracket and connect this to the bottom of the solid axle, then make some spring buckets and keep my springs.
Will any of that even work?

From what I remember, the TTB Dana 44 uses the same internal gears and hubs as the solid axle Dana 44. I'm not sure about the TTB Dana 44HD that was used in light duty F-250's, (under 8600 gvw), but the Dana 50 used in the F-250 HD's used the same hubs as the Dana 60. I'm not sure about the ring gears though.
