Over the last 2 nights my street has seen 2 stolen trucks ( both from the same house). This morning at 2:45 my alarm goes off, i look outside to see a couple guys f ing with my truck. So i grab the .40 and run outside all of them got away as soon as i got up to the truck. there were 4-6 guys running down the street, I would also like to note these gus must be track stars cause they were fast. plus i am in nothing but boxers so the 12* temps slowed me down.
The damage
1 kicked in rear window
1 broken pass door lock
1 stolen camera
1 plan to move
Don't you just hate thieves? Sorry they ripped you off and glad they didn't get your truck.
I've had one break in attempt. Two in the morning and my dog is growling at the front window (she was inside with us). I peek out and there's this Katrina with his face pressed up against the driver's window. I just quietly opened the front door and let Dallas out. Eighty pounds of pissed off, doesn't like anyone but my family Rottweiller/Lab mix chased him all the way down the street and around the corner. Biting, growling and frothing the whole way.

He hasn't been back.
Don't you just love a friendly "don't f*^# with me" family dog? I'm sure the thief got the message. Hopefully next time your rot gets a little taste of the thief for her troubles. I'm sure he was changing more than his places to steal from when he got home!

Man that's just bad news, and if you had shot at them or even in the air, you would have probably wound up in trouble. I guess living in the booneys like I do has some advantages. I can go out a pop off a few rounds and no one even thinks twice. Sounds like a quality alarm might be a good investment.

All just depends on where you live. In Texas you have the right to use deadly force to protect your property.
Yep, been watching intently. The only snag he has is the property he was protecting wasn't his but his neighbor's. They still haven't charged him yet though and I don't think they will.
Your a better person than I am, I would have shot at them from the window. But since I dont own a gun yet Id just let my redbone coon hound and doberman out on em, redbone is about 85 and the doberman is around 115. Where I live Id prolly get in some trouble for it, but I really hate people messing with my stuff.
FL did the same thing -- guys finally had enough of getting in trouble for protecting their or their neighbors' evacuated and/or damaged homes from looters. My Dad has enough heat in his place to protect the whole block, and had to once or twice in the last couple years.
