intake manifold

Has anyone put the offenhauser intake or clifford intake with a 4 barrel carb on their 300 I-6, if so how did it work. I'm thinking of doing this to my truck.

intake manifold

I put a clifford water heated manifold with a holley 450 cfm 4 on my 77. Went to a holley 350 cfm 2 for smog reasons. Worth it. I am using the split cast iron exhaust manifolds - can not use the single stype with clifford intakes. So far the best carb seems to be the holley 390 4. Lots of threads here on beefing up the 300. Only problem I had was a bog off the line - 50 cc accel pump kit cured that.
