I Have a Gold 4.6l SuperCrew, I have been looking for a roof rack. Yakama and Tule have said the truck is a no fit for their racks. I need to get my kayak into the water. Any help? rlr35(No Email Addresses In Posts!)
You might want to talk to a truck cap dealer or talk to a contractor who has an over the cab rack system for ladders and pipes he may know where you could get a system that would work.

Geez- that's the message I was going to post.
Thule and Yakima offer only solutions that require drilling and use of blind fasteners, like PlusNuts. If you don't have a sunroof (I do) you can use 1127 Yakima rails and then rail riders. Yakima also offers PlusNut toploaders which is essentially a 6" long rain gutter clone to attach Q Towers too.
Saris makes a #902 load bar which attaches to the roof using number 4 clips. It catches the rubber rain gutter mounting track in the door openings. I ordered a set of the clips and satisfied myself the fit was good. Just ordered the rack and second set of clips.
If you lease (I did) check and see if your lease company will allow you to drill.
Right now my plan is to adapt a set of Yakima Hully Rollers in back and Mako Saddles in front to the Saris Rack. I have a 16' flat water touring boat. Saris doesn't make rollers and loading it by myself probably will need those.
Richard? Hey if your not the Richard I know then I guess u need the info .. well try the 58 with a q-tower made by Yakima I curently have them and it works fine..
If you want, the Yakima Q-towers (gutterless) will work over cab.(EXPENSIVE) Each rack supports 160 lbs. I am rafter and Sea-Kayaker, so I must carry metal rowing frame and a l-o-n-g boat, so I modified a RackIt goal-post type ladder rack for the bed in conjunction with one Yakima Q-tower roof rack. Thule also makes roof racks, but Yakimas go on/off much quicker. There is also a hitch mount reversible ladder rack that would work in conjunction with one Yakima. JC Whitney sells for $99. Hope this helps.
I have a 2001 Screw with the sunroof and use a Yakima gutterless system. Q-towers with clips E114 (I think, running from memory here) and 58" bars. I have a 17' canoe that goes up there. It rides without a wiggle even at highway speeds. Check yakima's website again.
