Quick question on an 93 f150 4x4 do the transfer case and axles take 80w90 gear oil the tags don't say as the do in other models i have had has what looks like an 8.8 (10 rear) and a dana 44 front axle non posi

Just checked its a posi so I gotta get the posi lube---really atf in the transfer case like dex 3? hey on that smog pump bypass deal I checked and the pump was not pumping good--so I pulled it apart cleaned it removed the impellers inside (they were just fiberglass so I broke them out) empteyed out all the inners inside the drum, got it all greased up and put it back to gether so it is just free wheeling not pumping at all. worked slick--and somebody said it could not be done. thanks

I second that......is your rear a posi?might need friction modifier for the clutch pack.....just something to think about.
