One differants I see is the part between the two valves, one is CP16 and the other is CP26.

The rocker shaft looks to be pitted, corroded or poorly machined, maybe worn from the spring rubbing on it.

I think he might be talking about procedure where the feeler might be binding and a different aproach might give a different reading

Really you don't measure valve lash at the valve on these? Never worked on one just on my gas toys.

it depends on bridge type,if it is hinge type bridge,it is adjusted at valve
if it is post type bridge,you adjust at rocker

Cat utilizes a LL injector also?


will those injectors fit in our engines? whats the flow rate? I bet Jody could program it to work.

I dunno, .025" (cold) seems like a lot to have found upon initial open-up, especially since that is the lash BETWEEN what appears to be two intake valves.

What I can't figure out is how that bridge arm keeps from rotating unless the valve stems recess up into the ends of the bridge.

I think the problem is he started to set the lash and the wind picked up , so he closed it up and drove it to the dealer with the feeler gauge still inside. I could be wrong cause I'm just the new guy here

Ha, that might be it, especially seeing as the feeler gauge does have oil sitting on it.
