Steering Damper questions.

After $1100 worth of ball joints,seals,drag links,rotors,pads and the Mich tires I had put on last year, I thought I would change the steering damper as well at 92k miles. Got the napa replacement and then see that I do not have one. I thought that all of the super dutys came with one? Anyone know if napa will carry the braket for this?

I'm llike you, I thought all 4x4 superdutys had one. Maybe the owner took it off if you bought it used.

Mine had one from the factory but when I replaced it I had to mod the brackets to get the new one to fit .

Not all trucks came with the steering damper. I went to Ford to get the brackets and then Napa for the Damper. Don't remember prices or part numbers but pretty sure you can get a generic bracket if you don't want to go to dealer.
