We have some issues. I cant get my truck to fire. It will turn over all day long. Has great spark, new distributor cap, rotor, new plugs, new plug wires, starter solenoid, starter are also new. Everyone I talked to said it was the ignition module, so I pulled one off wrecked F150 with the same motor (Same year to) and put that on tonight. Same thing. Turns over but wont start. Has good compression to. We cant even get it to actlike its gonna start off of ether.
If you have spark it's more than likely not the ignition module. I would suspect fuel pump, fuel filter, etc. Check your fuel pressure. Do you hear the fuel pump run?
Try a little bit of starting fluid, if it fires then it's fuel related
Guys, no one is gonna wanna believe me when I say this. But I had my one buddy come over and give me a hand with testing stuff and everything else that has been mentioned. When he walked in the door he said turn it over I wanna hear what it sounds like. I hit the key, waited for the check engine light to come which was like a second, heard the fuel pump, moved it to start it and fire right up. I didnt believe it. Let it run for a bit, then turned it off. Checked a couple of things then fired it up AGAIN. I dont got a clue. Im kinda wondering if there might be a bad spot in the fuel pump.
