Engine Block VIN Location

Howdy All. I just bought my first 300 and joined this forum. You guys are really making a believer out of me. My 4.9L came in a 1984 Bronco, but it's not original (I don't think). If I want to know what year the engine is I figure I better find the VIN, but I can't. Where is it?
