Question Help with Auto Hubs

I've got an 02 F350 with the auto hubs. Last night I took them apart and cleaned, relubed and re-sealed them. When I had them apart the large compression spring on both sides looked like someone tried to stretched them out and they don't look so good. I think thats why one side doesn't want to come unlocked. I went to the stealership and you can't buy just the spring, you have to buy the whole hub..go figure.. well, does anybody know where a guy can just get the spring or one that will work?

Are you talking about the spring that holds the hub in place and prevents you from removing it? If so, this spring comes in an O-ring kit from Ford. I'll see if I can find the part number. I replaced mine when I did my needle bearing service (thanks to guzzle's page)

No, the large compression spring on the inside. I'd like to keep the auto hubs, I had an older Ford with manual hubs and got tired of getting out in the snow or mud to lock it in. I guess I'm getting lazy in my old age.
