Fire deer

<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">I got this in a email. It is a great pic. John McCologan took it in Fairbanks Alaska on August 6. He took it while at work as a fire behavorial analyst. It was taken while he was at work so he cant sell it or make a profit off of it. I thought I would share it with all of you.

Great pic rbloodhound, thanks for sharing it.

It reminds me of a "only you can prevent forest fire" poster.

This is a correction on the facts surrounding the pics. Snowbunny pointed out that the facts were wrong.

This awesome picture was taken in the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana on August 6, 2000 by a fire behavior analyst from Fairbanks, Alaska, by the
name of John McColgan, with a Digital camera.

Since he was working while he took the picture, he cannot sell or profit from it, so he should at least be recognized as the photographer of this once-in-a-lifetime shot. Please forward this on to your email contacts. Maybe someday it will get back to him and we can show him that he has indeed been recognized for his efforts!

Thanks for straighting it out Snowbunny. Her son is a
firefighter that battles the big blazes like this. He has to be a brave man. Lets remember him the next time a big blaze brakes out.

Lets also remember to try and prevent forest fires. It can get awful dry in Louisiana during the summer.

I'm talking about the grass and fields. There are a lot of fire bans during the summer. The humidity is a killer. I work in West Texas where the humidity is low. It might be 120 deg out and not be as hot as a 90 deg day @ home.

Awesome picture. Show both the gentleness and hostility of mother nature.
