Thoughts on TJ's romp

I don't know if you have solved the mystery yet but I had a thought. If i remember this only occurs when cold.Well I wonder if the eot is bad? With the ADs your actuall full shoot of fuel is delayed because of the pilot shot first. With cooler temps and thicker oil moving slightly slower i'm wonder if your full shot is coming even later(more retarded). If the EOT is not working and not advancing the timing during warm up,this could be why the romp with timing of the full shot being delayed so long past original programming.I don't know just a thought.

Where's TJ hoping to get some opinions on this theory

of course i'm sure he's probably very busy with church, planning Christmas programs and ceremonies. Well I can wait.

You didn't just call me "more retarded" did you!!??? HAHAHAA Well today is my day off so I work for my dad wrenching to pay for my parts!! I am elbow deep in gear oil and wheel bearings on a Volvo Semi!!

My romp is all temps. My EOT seems to be accurate. I checked it earlier this week. But your thoughts are on track. I am quite certain it has to do with the injection timing. I think its a programming issue running these split on single programming. I have stage 1's in the works once the holidays are over. so i will be doing the injectors then and chip then see where I stand! I will keep you all posted! Thanks Fuelman for brainstorming! I appreciate it!

Before putting in new sticks maybe do an EOT mod and advance the timing to see overall effect .
Enjoy the Volvo, love driving them but I hear working on them is a pita.
