winshield wiper

My 1998 Mazda B2500 truck, I turned the wipers on and they went straight up and stopped. The fuse in the drivers side compartment was ok, I could hear a relay clicking in the power distrubution box but I can"t figure out which relay it could be. Anybody have a clue which it might be or had a similar problem? Thanks for any help.

I forgot to say I live in Pennsylvania and the wipers were iced over. I cleaned off the ice and that"s when they went vertical and stayed there.

Since you hear the relay clicking, get a helper to activate the wipers and feel along the relays. The one that vibrates is the one you want.

Just had the same this w/ MY exploder last weekend after the Ice hit SE NY, It looks like I got a chunk of ice under the screening stopping the arms from moving, Mine looks like it will be OK after it thawed a bit over this way,
