will it work
well i found a motor but not sure if it will work....they said it came out of a 04 f250 just like mine but they dont have a vin number on it....is there any way i can find out if it will bolt straight up with no problems......or does it matter????

Look it over real close, if everything maches up then it's a smooth swap. some early motors had the ics sensor below the turbo, late 03 and up Its on the valve cover. Hope this helps and good luck.

Easiest way to tell an 03 from an 04 is the intake. 04 is a big U shape the 03 has a cross over in the back. The ICP sensor is located on the valve cover for an 04 and under the turbo at the back of the engine for an 03 just as toolman05kr stated...... you can use the parts from your old engine to change anything.
