I hope my wife finds something quick. The motel/ restaurant here in town handed her cash for her last check and said bon voyage don`t come back then that night closed the whole place down and moved crap out. There is just nothing around here. Then on Friday afternoon found my golden Retreiver dead and, transmission bands went out in 3rd, 2nd gears in her car before we could get it back to the house.
That's too bad. Seems like there has been plenty of bad luck to go around. My dogs are family members and it's very sad when you loose one. The line from the song Mr. Bojangles (Bojangles voice) "Why is it that dogs don't get to live very long but still have to die so old" reminds me of how life is not fair much of the time. Wish you best. Wish I could be of some help. Please keep us posted on how things are going.
Dang that's too bad. If there is anything I can do let me know. Did you get the car home, do you need help with that? I don't know of any jobs real close to Garnett, sorry. But if I do I'll let you know.
Sorry to hear all that man, If there is anything we can do down here let me know!! Jacks right though, there is alot of that bad luck thing goin round.
I'm a little dissappointed that this post didn't produce more, but then with the holidays and all Poeple aren't hiring. I guess it is a tough time to be looking for a job. Remember if anyone hears of anything to keep this thread in mind.
Harbor Freight is Hiring again - I would work there, but I would owe them money every month :-)
Thomas- Pinkerton just took over security for Rathon/Beech/Spirit they might be hiring? Also PSI Security Just picked up the Comerce bank account they could be hiring as well. Couple of possibilities.

Folley Equipment just bought the Optima Bus plant up north and are looking for folks to staff it. From what I hear they are looking for engine rebuilders, Hydrualic repiarmen, and people to run the Dyno.
Amber got called back to work at Shell here in Garnett, starts today. The tranny in the car is going to be rebuilt, so i have to find the overhaul kit and a new converter. Advanced Auto in Ottawa said they can get a converter for 350.00 Overhaul kit for less than 100.00. Have a guy here that says he can rebuild it in about 8hrs. Now just have to wait for the greenbacks to come in and get this done. Good luck to those looking for work.
Glad she got called back so quick man!!! You might call down here to A & Reds transmision, you might get a pretty good deal and I'm sure we could find a way to get it to you so you won't have to pay for shipping.
Yup! I do need to head that way soon. Last two shoots have been called off due to bad weather. If you can give me info on the vehicle I can check around on price for you.
1993 Plymouth Acclaim 3.0L automatic 3 speed. Do not know if it has the high rpm, or the low rpm torque converter. The lowest rebuilt trans that I have found was $1200
