New F250.

So the other day i got an 05' F250, it has the gas 5.4L. Right now i am just planning on driving it back and forth to work but eventually i am getting a 20ft gooseneck and will pull a small/medium sized tractor around. this is just occasionally maybe once or twice a month. I was looking around and it seems some people say this motor will not pull very good at all. The truck acts like it has plenty of power but this is empty. is there anyone who has this truck who could give me some insight. Pref. with this year model because i read around and it sais that the 05' 5.4 has 40 more HP and more torque than the year before.

You should have no problem towing with your truck as long as you stay within your weight rating. The weight rating for the '05 is about 9,000lbs to 10,000lbs for maximum towing capacity. This truck has lots of power and torque with the 5.4L when empty and tows well with the 5-speed auto transmission they starting putting in them in the '05 and up trucks. Don't plan on setting any speed records, but you will do fine.

BTW, welcome to FTE and congratulations on the new truck!!
