Just lifted my truck 6" and put 325/65r18 tires. Already have noticed brake fade with OE pads (55,000 miles), they're still o.k as far as material, but I rather have better braking than wait for them to wear out. I do some towing throughout the year and have search info on these brands:
EBC greenstuff and EBC yellow stuff
Hawk Performance
Powerstop Z36
I want a good brake, low or no noise, low or no dust. I don't really know if ceramic is an option for these big truck or not. Let me know what you guys think is the best brake application. I don't want to upgrade my rotors at this time, knowing that's the best thing to do.
Any information is helpful and I know I'll be spending more $ for better braking.
I installed the Hawk LTS pads(along with Powerslot cryo rotors) and am VERY happy with them. No noise or brake dust. Just good clean even stopping power. I also do some towing and carry heavy payloads at times.
