It's all doable with minor mods. Read "Turbochargers" by Hugh MacInnes ISBN 0-89586-135-6 for a good overview. The book is VERY dated since it was first published in 1984, but should be about right for doing a carbureted engine. Classic Motorbooks and Amazon both sell it.

I didn't see anything listed for the 300 ci, but http://www.anderson-ford.com sure has a bunch of supercharging info and suppiles. Been in the parts dept and they have some really cool stuff in stock. Well known in the racing circles, they may have done some work on the 300 and it would not hurt to ask. They have several new Lightning engines you could always drop in there too.
