Been down this rode before:(

I had an `05 Limited Excursion that I bought brand new in `05. Was by far the BEST vehicle I`ve ever owned; when it was running. Had it for 2 years and had been in the the shop over 100 days, was in dealership almost more than at my home, with 28 items replaced on my 6.0. Ford bought that one back from me, and treated me very fair So after LOTS of HARD thinking and looking around, I decided to buy another Ford. Found another `05 6.0 Excursion and after finding good Oasis report I bought it. Had it about 3 months with no problems, went to start 2 weeks ago and it would crank over but would`nt start. Dealership replaced #1 and #7 injectors, new FICM module, and latest reflash. Since I got it back have noticed poor milage, lack of power, and surging. Then this morning it does the same thing and wont start???? Had towed back to dealership. This is starting to get way to familiar! I`m worried and hoping I did`nt make a bad decision on buying another 6.0

if the dealer didnt perform the flash correctly this could contribute to the problems you are seeing

I think you need to look for a new dealer. One that does a high volume in diesel repairs.

Also sounds like a possible leaky hpop.

Got it back from dealership already. They said it was the "camshaft sensor" and replaced it. So far seems to run a little smoother and got some of my power back. Hopefully it`ll be OK now.

FYI- I just found out that Ford is covering emmisions related parts/problems for 5 year 50k miles with NO DEDUCTABLE on the 6.0 diesels! I just got my $100 deductable back for when they replaced my injectors
