Hi i'm fairly new to this site, but my question is as follows.
I have a 94 ranger that I recently purchased and knew the clutch was going, so i started to change the clutch a little while ago, after putting it all back together i can't put it in anygears so i've taken it all out again and even with the tranny all out i still cant get it to switch between gears the only gear that it can even get close to gettin into is 2nd i have no idea why this would be happening??
Do i have to have the slave bleed in order to be able to get it in any gears (doesnt really make any sense why that would be done), any help will be greatly appreciated
Welcome to FTE. Glad to see you solved the problem. I agree with teddyu - what was wrong and how did you fix it? I must admit surprise that someone didn't respond to your request. Members are good about that. Trust us.
Happened just to be in 5th gear or something like that just had to keep tinkering with it till it somehow popped outta that gear was kinda a pain though but oh well feel a little dumb for not figuring it out sooner.
I try to ask some quations to get diagnose with just descrivbed symtoms.
As I've understood you did clutch and this problem appeared after that. There is auto in my ranger, but my aero was converted to 5st tranny so I know what am I talking about.
Some tips.
Mazda tranny have remote shift controll. Often after pulling tranny it requires reajusting.
SOmetimes when you bled clutch and you are sure that you can depress it fully in a couple of days air in system appeares in a real mystery and when clutch is bled one ore two times later it dissapeares forever.....
