Bad Transmissions?

At work we have a 96 f350 7.3. I was useing it to plow the other night and the transmission went. The thing would not move and there was smoke everywhere with a strong smell of burning transmission fluid. The transmission went 10 months ago while plowing and I just found out it was replaced a few years before that. Is there a problem with the automatic transmission on these trucks or is the plowing we do with it?

yes to both! These tranny's can be weak and snow plowing doesn't help one bit! they can be built to be nearly bullet proof but expect to pay a few bucks for it.
