I have bad rust out on my cab floor, corners and front mounts. After talking with Dan about it, I decided to do a cab switch too. Fortunately Dan has a '72 cab that should work just fine. The challenge will be to lift them out. I hear they weigh up to 500lbs.
If you want, you can borrow my cherry picker...or, if you get the missus to follow you down, we can do the cab swap here with the forklift...might take more than a day or two to tidy things up, this way (if your wife follwed you down) I wouldn't have to haul your butt back
Hey Karl if ya wana come to Hayward my father has an outside car hoist we can undoo everything lift the old one off roll the frame out back a flatbed or somethin under the old cab take it away n put the new cab on the hoist then roll the frame back under the new cab sounds alot harder than it is we did it with a frame swap on a CJ-7
