My ole' '94 has developed a small vibration starting at 30 mph and ending at 35 mph. I have replaced the three universal joints, truck is a short bed supercab, one universal was bad - the rolls and turned to rusty metal dirt, and had the front end aligned. The front wheel bearing were checked last year. The engine runs and idles well with like always acceleration.
Any ideas on what to check next?
if it seems to be coming from the front and you have the automatic locking hubs (if you have 4 wheel drive) checl those, i get vibrations because my hub is broken
I know my truck front shakes in the morning untill my tires warm up. I got 36's and no steering stabilizer. I do have some play in my box that I need to take care of. Once I do that and get a stablizer it should go away. Did you try rotating your tires and see if it moves to the rear from the front? Id say balance but 30-35 is 2 slow. Usually that is U-Joint area.
Rotate the tires first so you can eliminate them as a source. A wheel could be out of balance, or one of the tires could be out of round, possibly due to a broken belt or mild tread separation.
