Has anyone street modified their 4.9? Been thinking about it and want to know the problems that could occur.

 

Just my 2 cents but the 4.9L isn't really a street performer. It's built more for towing, hauling and grunt work. It will do this job and it will do it well. The reason why I say it isn't a street performer is this engine has a very long stroke and doesn't like high revolutions! You can however modify the hell out of it if you want. It shouldn't have any problems find parts and problems in general.
