Hey,
Has anyone on the board used comp cams p/n 66-237-4? I am planning on building my 300 instead of swapping in a v8 for now and want to use this "High Energy" cam (260H). I plan to use a holley 390 carb, offy intake, this cam (in the form of a kit with timing set, valve springs, locks and retiners and lifters along with the matching pushrods) and clifford headers.
What I am trying to accomplish is make my 78 f-250 4x4 be able to get out of it's own way. I also want to increase the rev range. So if you have experience or have driven a similar rig let me know.
I bought a Comp Cams camshaft (advertized duration of 254degrees) for my 94' EFI Ford F150. I haven't installed it yet but I did alot of research before doing so. Everyone (automechanics) I talked to said this would really give the engine some extra power. With the plans you have in mind, your 6er should haul some butt!
Hey Paulg, Did you ever get around to installing that cam yet? I have a stock 95 and I am looking at the same cam. Still doing research and going bananas sifting through what might be the best for me. Is your truck stock? What did your research turn up?
